Formal Uniform

All students of Midtown High School Orchestra are expected to obtain and maintain a formal uniform. Formal dresses, tops, and tuxedo jackets (options shown below) must be purchased from Dress pants and other wardrobe items, including cummerbund, bowtie, and dress shirts, may be purchased from local stores (Men's Wearhouse, etc.). For assistance in obtaining a uniform, please contact Ms. Davis. Order your uniform no later than October 1st to have it in time for the Winter Concert.

Spirit Apparel

For informal concerts and other events, students are to wear orchestra T-shirts. New students and parents may purchase these quality 100% cotton tees ($15) through the Orchestra Store.

Option 1

Oratorio Modest Velvet Choir Dress (black) - Item #D683. This long formal dress has a stretch velvet empire bodice and crepe skirt with an inverted pleat in the back. Wear with black dress shoes and flesh-tone or black hosiery. Accessories should be modest and kept to a minimum.

Option 2

Helena Top (black) - Item #H971. Stretch velvet top with modest scoop neckline and short sleeves. Pull-on style, tunic length, side vents for comfortable fit. Wear with black dress shoes and black dress pants (no leggings or form-fitting pants). Accessories should be modest and kept to a minimum.

Option 3

Classic Notch Lapel Black Tuxedo  - Item #B721. Wear with white tuxedo shirt, black cummerbund, bowtie, pants, socks, and dress shoes.
